King Buffalo KB-014

"King Buffalo Horn" refers to the "White Horn" — the most beautiful and rarest grade obtainable only in very limited quantities from the "Babalasu Arni" water buffalo found in West India. We use this prized White Horn for the temples, handcrafted one by one by Japanese artisans. Artisans apply color coating to this precious White Horn, followed by five coats of urethane resin coating, creating a translucent and gorgeous color. A distinctive, edge-defined acetate brow model whose "top-line feature of the frame" is emphasized by mounting the temples high. The newly engineered "Pera-arm hinge," combined with slim, smooth-to-the-touch horn temples finished with a beautiful sheen, produces an outstanding fit. Ptolemy48's horn frames are entirely HANDMADE by eyeglass artisans in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture, Japan. Every piece is a limited release, presented in a "Kiriko-patterned paulownia wood box" together with a "leather case made from original Italian fabric."
