Mass-producing this design in titanium required die-making techniques of the highest difficulty. It was born from a continuous cycle of setbacks and struggle, made possible only by the advanced skill and challenging spirit of eyewear artisans. The front is born from a die that concentrates the skill of Japanese die-making artisans, pressed from titanium sheet as many as 50 times. This produces an unprecedented one-piece pressed part with both streamlined, smooth, beautiful curves and three-dimensional contours that only pressed parts can achieve. The temples are carved from aged celluloid using a machining technique, and combined with the triple hinge to produce an outstanding fit.
