A vintage celluloid pair of glasses that speaks of artisan craftsmanship. A square-shaped celluloid frame with a sharp impression, created by Japanese eyewear artisans. Ptolemy48's celluloid uses material that has been slowly dried and hardened, giving it just the right amount of "flex" with little deformation, and careful polishing by hand by skilled artisans brings out the deep luster unique to celluloid. Made from cotton-derived natural celluloid, aged and laminated from two sheets of the world's first 6mm fabric into an original celluloid material. A designed single-letter metal ornament is fitted to the front, and a new mechanism combining this ornament with a triple hinge produces an outstandingly soft, comfortable fit. For the temples, Japanese artisans use a machining method with aged celluloid material to create coreless temples with elasticity! The combination of the triple hinge and resilient celluloid temples produces the outstanding fit unique to Ptolemy Fortyeight. The new model debuts two new vertical gradient colors!
