Product Details
Ptolemy 48 celluloid uses a celluloid material that has been slowly dried and hardened, giving it just the right amount of flexibility and resistance to deformation. Furthermore, it is meticulously polished by skilled craftsmen to create the deep luster unique to celluloid. These vintage celluloid glasses boast "the allure of black luster" and temples with "the beauty of curves," truly showcasing the artisan's skill. We use an original celluloid material made from ripened natural cotton, featuring the world's first 6mm fabric with two layers laminated together. The black luster polished by our eyewear craftsmen is truly distinctive.
Equipped with the world's first triple β-titanium hinges, combined with elastic temples, these glasses offer unprecedented comfort. The titanium end pieces are treated with "onyx black," and the temples are crafted from 7mm celluloid. The curved beauty of these temples, which are not hand-bent but sculpted, is a true testament to craftsmanship, providing elasticity despite being made of celluloid. By using β-titanium cushioning nose pads, the frame creates a cushioning effect, making the wearing weight of the frame surprisingly unnoticeable.
These meticulously crafted glasses, born from the outstanding skills of Japanese eyewear craftsmen, are a masterpiece of Japanese eyewear brands.
