The front shape is a three-dimensional, three-layered structure.
It features an innovative construction where colorful acetate fabric is layered between upper and lower titanium sheets, characterized by the light appearance of different materials and color coordination. The third layer of titanium is finished with an elegant embossed Metatech plating.
This is why it's named "SATURN," and the sharp, flowing curves of the titanium sheet, integrally press-molded by Japanese mold craftsmen with world-class technical skills, create a three-dimensional effect on the face.
It adopts the "triple hinge," a world-first new mechanism. By incorporating two "cut-out" slits (gaps), it absorbs frame distortion, making it a versatile fitting hinge for tilt angles, etc.
Combined with the elastic celluloid temples, which are unique to Ptolemy and don't require a core, it creates an outstandingly comfortable fit with lightness.
