"King Buffalo Horn" refers to the most beautiful "white horn" obtained in very small quantities from the "Bubalus arnee" water buffalo found in the West Indies.
The Ptolemy48 horn frames are crafted from this most beautiful and precious "white horn," which is then color-coated and coated with urethane resin by skilled Japanese artisans to create a brilliant, translucent hue. This process also prevents deterioration and allows for long-term use with no issues from washing. Previously, there were concerns that horn frames would get scratched or be difficult to replace lenses once they were installed. This model addresses these issues by adopting a floating lens system. The hinges are secured with a single, intricately designed metal decoration, and this decoration is combined with a triple-barrel hinge, a new mechanism that creates an exceptionally soft and comfortable fit.
