"King Buffalo Horn" refers to the most beautiful "white horn" obtained from only a small number of "Bubalus arnee" water buffalo in West India.
The horn frames of Ptolemy 48 are crafted using this most beautiful and precious "white horn," with color coating and urethane resin coating applied with Japanese artisanal skill, creating a magnificent array of transparent colors.
They utilize a three-barrel hinge, providing an exceptionally soft and comfortable fit.
Buffalo horn has a very low specific gravity, making it extremely lightweight. This natural material is remarkably gentle on the skin, making it an excellent choice especially for those with allergic or sensitive skin. Each frame is individually carved and polished by craftsmen, allowing you to enjoy its unique texture more and more with use. The front shape is a small Boston, a classic design.
