The design known as "crown panto," said to have been popular in France from the 1940s to the 1950s, has been developed as an all-titanium frame with a modern sensibility. Considering the delicacy of the design line as a metal frame, it is finished as a design that flatters the face well. Three-dimensional processing gives a 2mm stepped cut to the sides of the 3.0mm titanium sheet, reducing weight while emphasizing the sense of dimension. Furthermore, a highly labor-intensive masking method applies a different surface treatment to each step, giving even those viewing it from a distance a clear impression. The raised rim surface is finished in FC color to look as if it has a cel-wappa frame set in. The highlight is the coloring, achieved through the masking method on the titanium front, unique to Ptolemy48.
