Product Details
Employing every artistic technique available, we envisioned and created an exceptionally special frame — the "Title of Knight." "Title of Knight" derives from the medieval royal chivalric order, an honor bestowed by a monarch upon those of outstanding achievement. True to the name "Title of Knight," it takes a Wellington shape that evokes a vintage atmosphere, with a straight brow line and voluminous bridge design as its features. The front uses 10mm material, with varying thickness depending on the part, giving it a decisively different level of precision from period frames. The gloss and sharp edges of the acetate fabric, carefully honed and polished through Japanese artisan craftsmanship. Giving the rim extra thickness in places creates movement, so the expression changes with the angle at which it is worn. The temples combine different fabrics through a core-lamination process; the front and temple ornaments feature a knight's emblem crafted by Japanese precious-metal artisans, using pure silver made with hollow-forming technology. Fit is also carefully considered: an S-shaped triple hinge is fitted, and silver is mounted on the end pieces to balance the weight, producing an outstanding fit.
