Product Details
Employing every artistic technique available, we envisioned and created an exceptionally special frame — the "Title of Knight." "Title of Knight" derives from the medieval royal chivalric order, an honor bestowed by a monarch upon those of outstanding achievement. True to the name "Title of Knight," it was born from the "block construction method" crafted by Japanese artisans with world-class skill. The block construction method is a technique in which three cut parts are inserted into a mold and bonded together under hydraulic press. Both the mold and the acetate parts demand extremely high precision, making this a frame truly completed through Japanese artisan craftsmanship. The front and temple ornaments feature a knight's emblem in pure silver, created by Japanese precious-metal artisans. The knight's crest mounted on the temples is fitted in pure silver using a hollow-forming technique. Fit is also carefully considered: a triple hinge is fitted, and silver is mounted on the end pieces to balance the weight, producing an outstanding fit.
